Additionally, manuscripts should not be currently under consideration by another journal.

To enhance the efficiency of the submission process, the Journal of the Algerian Chemical Society exclusively accepts electronic submissions through the web site of the journal (https://www.jacs-dz.org). Authors are required to submit their manuscripts in the form of a single Word file.

Publication Language

The language of publication of articles is English.

General Format

Articles should be submitted as a single electronic file, formatted with Times New Roman font, size 12, and a line spacing of 1.5 throughout the entire manuscript. This includes abstracts, keywords, references, tables, and the legends of tables and figures. Maintain consistent margins of 2.5 cm on the left, right, top, and bottom of the document. Ensure that all paragraphs are justified on both the left and right sides. Avoid using tabulation within paragraphs, and refrain from intricate formatting, as it can complicate the task.

Following these formatting guidelines will contribute to a standardized and streamlined presentation of the manuscript.

Formatting of manuscript

In the process of submitting articles for peer review, authors should structure their submissions as follows: (1) title, (2) a summary in English (followed by keywords in English) (3) text, (4) Acknowledgements (if any) (5) bibliography.

Adhering to this structured format will facilitate a clear and organized presentation of the manuscript during the peer review process.

Title

For publication submission, adhere to the following format for the title and author details:

The title of the publication must be written in English language and submitted in upper case, centered, interline 1.5 in bold. Double space and then write the full names of the authors. Double space and then write their complete addresses. The name of the correspondent author will be marked with "*" give his/her e-mail, and telephone.

Summary

Articles submitted to the journal should include a concise summary. Abstracts are to be limited to a single paragraph, encompassing a maximum of 250 words. This succinct summary provides a brief overview of the key aspects of the article, aiding readers and reviewers in quickly grasping the content and significance of the research.

Keywords

The summary will be followed by four to six keywords that express the essentials of the article. The keywords should not contain words of the title. The keywords should be separated by semicolons.

Text

The text of the article should be organized into the following sections: Introduction, Equipment and Methods, Results, Discussion, Bibliography, and Acknowledgment. Importantly, the text should not include line breaks between paragraphs. This structured format enhances the readability and flow of the manuscript, ensuring a clear presentation of the research content and findings.

Tables, figures, maps and photos

Tables and graphs should be inserted directly into the text at the relevant positions. Maps and photographs must be submitted in either jpg or gif format. This ensures seamless integration of visual elements within the manuscript, contributing to a well-organized and visually coherent presentation of the research findings.

Equations and Symbols

Special characters (e.g, Greek and symbols) should be inserted using the symbols palette available in MS-Word. For complex equations, use Math-Type or an equation editor. If equations need to be displayed separately from the text, be sure to number them consecutively. This approach ensures clarity and consistency in the representation of mathematical and scientific notations within the manuscript.

Bibliography

In the bibliography section, include all references cited in the text. The citations in the text should be indicated by a number in brackets. Arrange the references in ascending order in the bibliography, following the examples provided below. This format ensures a systematic and organized presentation of the cited works.
